TIME EXPRESSED

Saving Time.

I usually take my birth control at 10 am. Now since it’s daylight savings time, should I take it at 9? I’m very paranoid about getting pregnant so I need to make sure I take it at the same time on the dot every day. Saying an hour or so won’t make a difference is not cool with me. Thanks!

Personally I don’t think you should change your time just because of the time change. I know you don’t want to hear that an hour won’t make a difference but I have to say that you shouldn’t worry. Once I took it a few hours late. Once you have been doing it for a few days, your body will have adjusted to it…stick with your time.

I especially want to know if they re-broadcast it, as they do Countdown with Keith Olbermann. If so, I’d like to know all of the times and days that it airs on pacific time.

It’s a great show, so thanks!

donno sorry

What is the best time (eastern time) to watch the Star Shower tonight?

In which direction should I look? Any tips?

Actually last night was the peak time to watch. But the best viewing hours of this are after 11pm and then as late as you can stay up. the show is expected to get better in the early morning hours like 3am
Do not pick one direction. Gaze around. You will see some. You might find that the asteroids are coming from one general direction but this not always true. Make sure you can get somewhere dark this will increase your chances on seeing them.

You can refer to any US time zone, but please list all the european time zones and their time differences to your US time zone that you chose.

Hi James!

Much of Europe, from the Portuguese-Spanish border to Warsaw is in the Central European Time zone. It’s six hours ahead of New York, where I am. When it’s noon here, it’s 6 p.m. in Paris, Berlin, Rome and so on. Here’s a complete list, with times based on noon New York time in June:

- Iceland. West European Time with no Daylight Saving. 12 noon Eastern = 4 p.m. in Reykjavik. Also in the Azores.

- West European Summer Time. It’s 5 p.m. in Lisbon and Dublin. In the UK, this time is known as British Summer Time. Also in the Canary Islands.

- Central European Summer Time. It’s 6 p.m. in Madrid and Vienna.

- East European Summer Time. It’s 7 p.m. in Athens, Istanbul, Helsinki and Kiev. In Georgia, which does not observe Daylight Saving, it’s also 7 p.m.

- Moscow Time. 8 p.m. in Moscow and St. Petersburg. (Note that in the Konigsberg enclave of Russia, it’s just 7 p.m.). Also in Yerevan and Baku.

- Volga Time – In Samara, it’s 9 p.m.

A couple of footnotes:

Also at Scoresbysund, East Greenland Summer Time, it would be 4 p.m., same as Iceland.

On St. Pierre, a French territory off the coast of Newfoundland, and at Godthaab, Greenland, where it is known as West Greenland Summer Time, it would be 2 p.m.

I recently had someone who I had not spoken to in years for a very good reason msg me as if nothing had ever gone down. Now to me a lot of things went down and she wasnt there as a friend. I was able to tell her she wasnt a good friend and that I didnt want to speak to her. In just that one line I was able to get a lot of closure and I woke up this morning actaully smiling. Has anything like this happened to them?
Before the msg I had never had the chance to express how I felt. I had moved out of state very quickly at that time.

I had something similar happen, I had a very good friend, he got married and everything changed, he became distant and stopped calling me. Recently, he called as if nothing had happened, I didn’t say anything, but in that moment I noticed I had gotten over it, I had truly no hard feelings and I was not angry anymore, of course I did not want to see him, because he had stopped seeing me for years. But I believe you do have to look for positive ways of letting out your anger, sadness, etc.
Sometimes the other person doesn’t even realize he/she is hurting you, and if you do not let it out, you are the only one to suffer.

Your body is more affected by losing one hour of sleep than you might think! Make this year’s transition easier with these tips.

To complete this How-To you will need:

Earlier bed and waking times
Sunlight
Exercise
A melatonin supplement
Defensive driving
Leisurely mornings

Step 1: Get up earlier

Begin the transition six days before the clock changes by going to bed and getting up 10 minutes earlier each day than the previous one. If you have kids, make them do the same.

Step 2: Let in the light

During those six days, get some sunlight as soon as you get up and avoid light in the hours before bedtime. Controlling light intake helps your body’s internal clock adjust to the earlier waking and sleeping times.

Tip: Avoid naps in the days leading up to the switch.

Step 3: Get some exercise

Get some exercise on the afternoon before the 2 a.m. time change, like a brisk, 30-minute walk. Exercise releases serotonin, which helps advance your biological clock.

Tip: Forego exercise within three hours of bedtime; it may interfere with your ability to fall asleep.

Step 4: Take melatonin

Take a melatonin supplement four or five hours before you go to bed on the night of the time change, to help you fall asleep; it’s sold over-the-counter at drug stores.

Step 5: Don’t drive drowsy

On the day of the time adjustment make sure you’re well rested before driving, and drive defensively. Studies show that car accidents increase the Monday after the clocks are pushed forward.

Step 6: Don’t rush off

Take your time getting to work that first week after the clocks are reset, even if it means you’re late. Swedish researchers found that heart attacks increase during the week after daylight saving time begins. So make that your excuse to slow down for a few mornings; you’ve got the whole rest of the year to rush out the door.

A Pittance of Time

Author: admin
09 2nd, 2010

2 A Pittance of Time“A Pittance of Time” was conceived at 11:00 AM on November 11, 1999 as a result of a situation that Terry had witnessed at that time. In the weeks to follow Terry completed the writing of the song and prepared to record the composition for inclusion on his full-length music CD, “The Power of the Dream”.

In the interest of creating an awareness of the importance of remembering and commemorating our veterans, our peacekeepers, and their heroes (families) at home, Terry had “A Pittance of Time” adapted to the French language, titled the adaptation “C’est si peu de temps”, recorded this new piece of work, and produced music videos in both English and in French.

As the songs and videos were exposed to Terry’s audiences, a great demand was expressed for obtaining personal copies of these works. Hence, “A Pittance of Time” & “C’est si peu de temps” have been prepared in three formats — VHS, DVD, and an EnhancedCD.
